The Porsche Carrera GT, with a race developed 5.7L V10 mid engine, producing an impressive 603hp, and 0-60 time of 3.9 seconds. Starting at the drawing board, the points of improvement over the oem and many existing sports exhausts were reviewed. Our main objectives, increase power, remodel and accentuate the sound, and half the weight.
Removal of the stock catalyst, and replacing with either high flow HJS race cats, or de-cat pipes, opens up the sound significantly. The sound is then enhanced by our trademark 1D CLR x pipe, raising the pitch to a true F1 sound. On valves open the gases pass directly through the x pipe bypassing the silencer, for a raw unadulterated, high-pitched F1 scream. On valve closed, the gases are directed through a specially designed harmonically tuned silencer, that completely eliminates cruising drone, making for a comfortable ride when you need it, and a howling race car sound when you want it! Available in standard 304 grade stainless, or Formula one grade Inconel 625 for the ultimate in exotic light weight exhaust.
Replacing the stock cats with 100 cell HJS race cats results in a peak performance increase of 14hp. Using de-cat pipes peak power gain is around 20hp. We recommend for best performance to adjust air fuel ratios after fitting the exhaust.
