ELIGIBILITY & REQUIREMENTS
As the organizer of this event, The Tourmaster is responsible, both morally and legally, to do whatever possible – within reason – to ensure that this is a safe event for everyone. Therefore, the following requirements have been instituted:
REFUSAL OF APPLICATION AND ATTENDANCE, EXPULSION FROM EVENT
The Tourmaster has the right to deny anyone’s application and attendance for any reason at any time before or after an application has been received or accepted by The Tourmaster, including any time leading up to the start time of the tour. Individuals known by The Tourmaster or the car enthusiast community at large to be unsafe drivers may NOT be allowed to participate in the Normal Guy SuperTour and other driving events organized by The Tourmaster. Unsafe drivers will be asked to leave the tour at any time for any reason.
CAR
The Normal Guy SuperTour is open to sporty and sports cars of all makes, models, and ages.
TIRE REQUIREMENTS
At the start of the event, all tires on each participating vehicle will be inspected to ensure they meet the following requirements:
     – Street tires (other-than-competition tires) only
     – D.O.T-legal tires only
     – Treadwear rating (UTQG) of 100 or higher
     – Minimum 4/32″ of tread depth at three points across each tire (this is strictly enforced)
     – No shaved tires
Your car’s tires must pass the tire inspection on Friday morning at check-in.
RADIO
Given the nature of this event, the timely communication of road hazard information between drivers contributes greatly and is critical to the safety of the participants. Therefore, each participating car will be required to have one functioning FRS/GMRS radio. In addition to the safety aspect, radios also contribute greatly to your driving enjoyment by allowing you to listen to and participate in the usual humorous automotive banter entertaining conversations that go on throughout each day’s drive.
Your radio must pass the radio check Friday morning at check-in.
ALCOHOL
No alcoholic beverages are allowed in and around any participating car anytime while driving.
LICENSE AND INSURANCE
At check-in all drivers and passengers will be required to 1) show a valid driver’s license and proof of automobile liability insurance coverage and 2) provide a scanned copy of both during check-in or provide them in advance via email. Please don’t complain to The Tourmaster: You would be required the same at any track event plus you shouldn’t be driving if you don’t have them with you.
WAIVER
Each participant (driver and all passengers) will be required to provide a signed waiver agreeing not to sue the event organizers, event volunteers, and sponsors for any damages to their person or property resulting from their participation in this event.
ACCOMMODATIONS
We have booked one of the nicest resorts in the hill country for our group. There are two kinds of cabins to choose from:
Class A Luxury Cabins
These are two-story cabins with large patios overlooking the river.
Downstairs bedroom has one Queen bed and full bath.
Upstairs loft has two Queen beds and a full bath. The Class A cabins are ideal for driver and passenger who need separate beds but are interested in staying in the same bedroom i.e. upstairs loft. The downstairs bedroom can be shared with another individual or couple.
Class B Luxury Cabins
These are two-story cabins with large patios overlooking the river.
Downstairs bedroom has one Queen bed and full bath.
Upstairs loft has one Queen bed and a full bath. The Class B cabins are ideal for a driver and passenger who need separate beds.
With two Queen beds in two bedrooms this might be an ideal option for the person who wants to share their cabin with others.
As an alternative, if driver and passenger use one bedroom, then the other bedroom could be shared with friends. It can be more fun to share a cabin with friends (and save money). If you would like to share your cabin with someone, email The Tourmaster at RbTexasStampede@yahoo.com so he can connect you with people who want to share a cabin.
