Our journey started in 2013 when we went to the SEMA in Las Vegas. During our trip we decided to rent a Lamborghini Gallardo, our first experience driving an exotic and we fell in love. Over the next couple of years, we started our research and rented several exotic cars; Ferrari 360 Spider, Lamborghini Huracan and a Ferrari 458.
In 2019 we started our hunt for the car we loved the most, Ferrari 458 Coupe. We set a price point and options; black on black with black rims. Dark and sinister was our goal.
My brother was a great hunter, finding cars at Ferrari or exotic used car dealers. Each time either the car did not meet our criteria or was sold before we could make a deal. Would we ever find the car of our dreams?
We decided to open our requirements; we added spider or coupe and were open to any interior color. Within a week we find our dream in Charlotte, 2013 Ferrari 458 Spider all black with great 3rd party options; K40 Radar, Capristo Exhaust and Novitec lower springs.
We immediately booked flights to Charlotte to look at the car and take it for a test drive. Dealer had it in the garage waiting for us, it was love at first sight. The car was just what we were looking for and the extra goodies already installed made the decision easy. After a couple of hours of negotiation, the Ferrari 458 was ours.
We received the car two weeks later on my birthday, what a great day. The only problem, snow! Yuck! We live in Western New York and you can not control the weather. So, we tucked our dream ride into my brothers garage until the snow melted and we had a good hard rain to wash the salt off the roads.
The have been lucky, we are having an early spring and have had the car out three times.
