Part 7 of the Ferrari 348 DIY Major Engine Out Service. The Ferrari 348 requires the engine to be pulled every 3-5 years or 25,000 miles to replace the timing belts. Usually this also entails replacing many other components such as the tensioners, water pump, bearings, and pulleys. Typically this service starts at around $10,000 at most reputable shops, and can easily cost upwards of $25,000. We are going full bore and replacing almost everything that can wear so the engine will be almost as good as new and give Tim many years of use.

Now that the Ferrari 348’s engine is torn down, it’s time to start putting parts back on!!! This is where things start to get difficult and we really need Josh’s expertise as a professional Ferrari Technician.

Unfortunately, we end up smashing an o-ring and having some other difficulties installing the new parts from Ricambi. The tolerances of some of the bearings requires you to heat up some parts with fire, while chilling others in the freezer!
