Our 1984 Ferrari 308 has a few maintenance issues that we need to take care of. First, the hood struts on the engine hood are blown so it won’t stay up on it’s own. Those are very simple to replace and reasonably cheap to purchase. Next we needed to change both the engine oil and the transmission oil. We also needed to replace the oil pan gaskets on both oil pans as they were leaking pretty heavily. We thought it would only take us a few hours but it ended up taking a few days as we ran into multiple complications. The worst of which was the oil dipstick tube fitting broke and we had to overnight one to replace it. We used about 9L of 15w-50 engine oil, and 4L of 75w-90 gearbox oil.
