We went to Monterey Car week this year, and our first stop was at Mecum to check out some of the cool cars being auctioned. The one set of cars that stood out was the Ferrari LaFerrari prototypes. It’s fascinating to see the evolution of the LaFerrari. They started with shoving the V12 and hybrid system into a 458 chassis with a bunch of body modifications. Then it moved on to a prototype chassis which looked somewhat like an Enzo. Finally it evolved into something that looked fairly similar to what was the final product. Along with the prototypes, we got to see a bunch of other really interesting cars that were up for auction.
