Transmission Busing for the Ferrari 360 & F430 – Part # 237531 – https://bit.ly/2S2XYBX
Hill Engineering Busing Removal Tool – Part # 95973219 – https://bit.ly/38R9Flc

The Ferrari 360 and F430 have a rubber transmission bushing (mount) that tends to degrade over time and collapse. The part is fairly inexpensive but the labor to replace it can be quite expensive. The good news is that although it’s a pain in the butt, it’s not complicated.

The basic procedure is to remove the air box and coolant overflow tank to gain access to the aluminum transmission cage (sub frame). Disconnect all the hoses and wires that are connected to the cage and then remove the 16 bolts that connect the sub frame to the frame of the car. Once the sub frame is moved out of the way, you use the hill engineering busing removal tool to press out the rubber center of the busing. Then using a hack saw, cut the busing, and finally press out the old mount.

The new mount is pressed in using the same Hill Engineering tool. It’s a good idea to put the new bushing in the freezer over night so it contracts, then use a blow torch to heat up and expand the hole which the new busing is pressed into. You should be able to then use press and get the bushing into place.
