Ferrari North America has issued a recall on the Ferrari 458 and 488. There is apparently something wrong with the brake booster or master cylinder that causes it to leak out brake fluid, and eventually it could lose brakes entirely! Currently there is no known fix, so in the recall letter, they state that you can use the parking brake while moving to act as an emergency brake. So I decided to test this theory out and pull the parking brake while driving. Will it lock the tires? Will it stop gracefully? Let’s find out.
