My battle to have a comfortable garage continues. Last summer I installed a single 14k BTU portable AC and it helps a lot, but it still wasn’t quite cutting it. Installation for the Honeywell AC Unit is very simple – just cut a hole through the wall for the exhaust vent – or use the included window kit if you have access to a window – and then plug it in. I was able to get mine running in under 15 minutes.

Now that I have 28K BTU’s of AC running in my garage, I also wanted to insulate the garage door so I bought a kit and install that as well. The only thing left to do is insulate my attic. Once I do that, I think I’ll finally have the heat in the garage to be manageable during the crazy 100+ Texas summer.
