The PIS Setting (Point of Initial Slip) tells the transmission computer in the F1 system where the clutch should sit before it initially starts to engage the clutch. If the setting is too loose, you will end up having the clutch slip too much which can cause the clutch to wear out faster than normal. If you have the PIS setting too tight, then you can end up stalling the car and it can be embarrassing, especially in traffic. In this video, I show you how to adjust the PIS setting on the Ferrari F430 F1 transmission so that you can maximize clutch life, drivability, and enjoyment. This in turn can save you lots of money by not having to take it to the dealership, nor replace the clutch prematurely.
