The fuel pumps on the Ferrari F430 are known to crack and leak fuel. The first generation of pumps pretty much all eventually fail. This is a HUGE fire hazard. When cracked, the fuel can leak out and spill on to the exhaust, causing a fire. The second generation of pumps do not have this issue so once you replace them with the superseded part, you should be OK. Once solution people discuss on Facebook and Ferrari Chat is to simply epoxy the top of the fuel pumps to stop the leaking. Please do NOT do this. It is a huge risk and does NOT fix the problem. Your life and safety is at risk. Don’t be cheap. Fix it properly and replace the fuel pumps.
