Brad and his incredibly skilled team at Authentic Details are taking on a huge project – Restoring my Ferrari 458 to near perfect condition! I’ve put over 17,000 miles on the car since buying it April of last year… Lots of rallies, road trips, track days, and all sorts of nefarious activities. This means it’s suffered some terrible conditions and certainly seen it’s share of rock chips, scratches, and just plain ole dirt. I wanted to see what it takes to restore a car’s interior and exterior to like new condition and Brad was up to the challenge.

Here’s the plan:
First remove the old PPF and try to ensure no paint is damaged during the removal. Fill in any paint chips or areas which have the paint removed.
Paint correct the exterior paint.
Apply a new Suntek PPF over the ENTIRE CAR!
Put on a Feynlabs Ceramic coating on the PPF to make it easy to keep clean.
Polish the carbon fiber engine bay components to a like new condition, ceramic coat them.
Polish the headlights and tail lights to like new condition, apply PPF to headlights and ceramic coat.
Remove the wheels and have them resurfaced, and repainted then apply ceramic coating.
Clean the suspension and braking components – then apply ceramic coating to make them easier to keep clean.
Clean all of the interior including restoring the leather and then using a leather conditioner.
Apply some glass treatment to keep the glass cleaner and easier to maintain.
Essentially, this car is going to look as good as new, but be fully protected for a long time!
