Our Ferrari 360 had the dreaded and common heat exchanger failure. When this happens the transmission oil and coolant will start to swap as the heat exchanger fails and allows coolant to push into the transmission. Once this happens, you have to flush the transmission and cooling system multiple times to get rid of the contaminates. We had used about 30 gallons of water and 10 gallons of trans oil flushing the systems about 7 times. It’s a lot of work but this saved us a lot of money and we didn’t have to replace the transmission.
