Sticky Buttons
2007 Ferrari 599
Interior Issue
Miles: 23,000 Date of First Occurrence (D/M/Y): 01/09/2020 DTC Codes (if any): None Parts List:Sticky RX - https://stickyrxrs.com/
Approximate Cost to Fix: $2,000Description of Issue:
The buttons on the headlights switch and panel, the seat controls and panel and vents were all sticky. This is caused by heat and humidity degrading the "soft touch" coating that is placed on the buttons from the factory. The coating turns sticky and starts to smear off the buttons if left alone for long enough.
Resolution if Known:
There are some chemical solutions to remove the sticky buttons such as rubbing alcohol, but I wanted a permanent and better than OEM solution, so I sent the buttons and panels off to Sticky RX. They put on a new coating after laser etching the buttons. The look and feel is identical to OEM but the coating will last forever and is not affected by heat and humidity. I documented this on my YouTube channel - https://youtu.be/BeB2uC-c6uc
