I must say, as a Ferrari fan for many years now, driving a McLaren and actually enjoying it feels a bit like cheating on your wife. You don’t want to admit it, but you have to. The McLaren 650S Spider is very impressive. The performance is much better than an equivalently priced Ferrari. There are some shortcomings that were corrected from the MP4-12C to the 650S, and it seems like the reliability issues might be overblown. But at the same time, it’s not as much a drivers car as a Ferrari. Is that enough reason to avoid one?
